Wild Flavors Loading . . .  Hermanus, we’re in for a treat!

A unique space opened on Friday 19 August 2022 at the Hermanus Waterfront, First Floor, Village Square.  It will showcase panoramic views of the wild, stormy ocean and ancient mountains, drawing indigenous culinary elements and flavors from the local seas and mountainous soils. This gastronomical venture will tick all the UNESCO Creative City of Gastronomy boxes, incorporating the regions indigenous foods and local wines, traditional elements, respecting the environment and the promotion of sustainable local products, and more –making a statement that is true to our UNESCO status, which is Marc’s vision. To translate nature, specifically our own, into cuisine, with seasonal flavour profiles.

To keep it fresh, the menu will transition with the seasons so that each new season is translated into the food and preparation, the cocktails as well as reflected in the décor. Expect some surprises for the entertainment side of things – you’ll have to pop in to see for yourself

The Look

New glass balustrades bring more of the gorgeous outside in, where you’ll find an interior that emanates nature with stone, botanicals and wood – including rustic exposed trusses.

The Elements

The four elements of AIR, FIRE, WATER and EARTH will be incorporated in the design, energy and cuisine. It is our basis from where we start our journey.

The View

The ocean air outside flows in to breathably open spaces. The View – something to behold!  Stunning, clear views over the Walkerbay, will be just one of the reasons for a visit to Wild.
